Privacy Policy

Lawn Logic is built and run by one person. It has no ads, no trackers, and no advertising SDKs, and your data is never sold or shared for marketing. This page describes exactly what is stored and why.

1. Who we are

Lawn Logic is published by b2squared.io. Questions about anything on this page go to lawnlogicsupport@gmail.com.

2. What we collect

DataWhyWhen
Email address To identify your account and let you sign back in on another device. Only if you create an account with email, Google, or Apple. If you use Sign in with Apple and choose to hide your email, we only ever receive Apple's relay address.
Location — coordinates or a typed address To look up rainfall and evaporation for your lawn. This is the whole basis of the recommendation; without it the app cannot work. When you set up a zone. You can type an address instead of granting device location permission.
Lawn settings — grass type, soil type, shade, sprinkler output, zone size, watering restrictions, mowing day To calculate how much water your lawn actually needs. During setup and whenever you change them.
Watering history — dates, durations, and rainfall corrections you enter To track the soil moisture balance over time and show your history. When you log a session or correct a rainfall figure.
Notification token To send your daily watering notification to the right device. Only if you allow notifications. Deleted when you sign out.
Support messages — your message, the optional email and device details you type, and a one-way hash of your IP address To answer you, and to stop automated abuse of the form. The hash cannot be reversed back into your IP address. Only when you submit the support form.

What we do not collect

No advertising identifiers, no contacts, no photos, no browsing history, no background location. Lawn Logic requests your location only while you are using the app, and only to place your lawn on the weather map.

3. Using the app without an account

On iPhone and Android you can continue as a guest. A guest session still creates an anonymous record on our servers so your lawn can be calculated and synced, but it is not linked to any email address or name. If you later add an account, that existing record is carried over — your zones and history come with you.

A guest account lives on one device. If you delete the app, or lose the phone, a guest lawn cannot be recovered — there is no email address for us to match it to. Adding an account is what makes it restorable.

4. Households: who else can see your data

Lawn Logic lets you share a lawn with other people — a spouse, a family member — by giving them your household invite code. Anyone who joins your household can see and edit that household's zones, settings, and full watering history, and can see the display name and email address of the other members.

Only share your invite code with people you intend to give that access to. You can leave a household at any time from Settings.

5. Subscriptions

Lawn Logic Pro is billed by Apple or by Google, not by us. Your payment details are handled entirely by the app store and are never sent to or seen by Lawn Logic. We only receive confirmation that a subscription is active.

6. Who processes your data

We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers. We may disclose data if legally required to do so.

7. How long we keep it

Account and lawn data is kept for as long as your account exists. Delete the account and it is removed. Support messages are kept for up to 12 months so we can follow up on a bug. The hashed rate-limit records expire automatically.

8. Deleting your data

Open Settings in the app and tap Delete Account. That permanently removes your account and its lawn data, and it cannot be undone. You can also request deletion by emailing lawnlogicsupport@gmail.com from the address on the account, or use the web deletion request form.

Depending on where you live you may also have the right to request a copy of your data, to correct it, or to object to its processing. Email us and we will handle it.

9. Children

Lawn Logic is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us data, email us and we will delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes materially we will update the date at the top and note the change in the app's release notes. Continuing to use Lawn Logic after a change means you accept the updated policy.
